General questions
What is BarberSociety Live?
BarberSociety Live is the ultimate yearly event for barbers, hairstylists and men’s grooming enthusiasts. It’s a full day of top-level shows, demos, look & learns, networking and competitions celebrating the craft of barbering.
When and where will the event take place?
The event takes place on Sunday 12 April 2026 at Hemkade 48 in Zaandam, just outside Amsterdam. In 2026 BarberSociety Live celebrates their 10th anniversary.
Who can attend the event?
Barbers, hairstylists, distributors, students, and anyone passionate about the industry and men’s grooming. All skill levels are welcome — from seasoned professionals to complete beginners. Any person over the age of 12 is welcome.
Will there be workshops and demonstrations?
Yes. Throughout the day you can attend exclusive look & learns, live demonstrations, stage shows and presentations by industry leaders.

Opening times & re-entry
What are the opening hours?
BarberSociety Live is open from 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM.
Can I leave and re-enter the venue?
Yes. Re-entry is allowed throughout the day. You will receive a wristband at the entrance — this must remain securely on your wrist to re-enter. Without a wristband, re-entry is not possible.
Payments, tokens & facilities
How can I pay at the event?
You can buy consumption tokens at the token desk. These can be used at the bars and food trucks on the outdoor terrace.
Can I return unused consumption tokens for a refund?
No. Unused consumption tokens cannot be refunded and cannot be used at future events. Tokens are renewed each event as a security measure against fraud, so please be mindful of how many you purchase.
Can I pay by debit card, credit card or cash at the token desk?
Yes. Debit card, credit card and cash payments are all accepted.
Will smoking be allowed?
Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the venue, including backstage and VIP areas. Visitors may smoke only in the designated outdoor smoking area on the terrace. This area is not covered. Security will monitor compliance; repeat offenders may be asked to leave.
Will there be lockers available?
Yes. Lockers are available in medium and large sizes:
· Medium: 29 cm (W) × 23 cm (H) × 40 cm (D)
· Large: 29 cm (W) × 34 cm (H) × 40 cm (D)
Lockers can only be paid for by debit card, credit card or contactless.
What is the locker policy?
Using a locker is entirely at your own risk. Hemkade 48 is not responsible for lost or stolen items. Always check that your locker is securely closed. If you experience issues, ask staff at the locker desk for assistance.
What is your lost & found policy?
During the event, report lost items at the cash desk in the entrance hall.
If the item has not been returned, you may:

· Fill out the Lost & Found form on the Hemkade 48 website (FAQ page)
Items can only be collected by appointment during office hours. Leaving belongings in lockers or wardrobe facilities (if applicable) is at your own risk.
Will there be a goodiebag?
Yes! All visitors receive a goodiebag when leaving the event, while supplies last.
Don’t forget to pick yours up on your way out — you don’t want to miss it!
Photo, video, food & pets
Will photos and videos be taken during the event?
Yes. Photo and video recordings will be made during BarberSociety Live. By attending the event, you give the organization permission to use images (photo or video) in which you appear for communication and promotional purposes.
Can visitors take photos and videos?
Yes, visitors are welcome to take photos and record videos for personal use and social media. However, any form of indecent, disruptive or intrusive filming—especially towards artists, educators, models, staff or other visitors—will not be tolerated.
Our security team may intervene or, in severe cases, ask the visitor to leave the venue.
Can I bring my own food or drinks?
No, bringing your own food or drinks into the venue is not allowed. A wide selection of food and beverages is available on-site.
Are pets allowed?
No. Pets are not permitted, except for certified assistance dogs.
Ticket questions
How do I purchase tickets?
Tickets can be purchased via our official website. Make sure to get yours early.
What’s included in my ticket?
Your ticket includes access to:
· The main exhibition floor
· The main stage with live shows and demonstrations
· The Battle floor (as a visitor)
· Networking areas
Some look & learns require an additional ticket.
Where do I receive my ticket?
Tickets are emailed to the address entered during checkout. You’ll receive an email from Celebratix with a "View tickets" button, directing you to your ticket wallet at app.celebratix.io/wallet.
What are the benefits of the Celebratix app?
The app allows you to store and access your tickets quickly and easily, and transfer tickets to friends.
What if I lose or forget my ticket?
Tickets are digital. Please bring a smartphone or device on which your QR code can be scanned.
I entered the wrong email address. What now?
Follow this guide from Celebratix
How do I share tickets with friends?
Use the “Transfer” button beneath your QR code to generate a transfer link and send it to your friend. Once accepted, the ticket moves from your wallet to theirs.
Are tickets refundable?
No, tickets are non-refundable.

Why is my QR code moving?
The moving QR code prevents fraud and ensures ticket authenticity. Simply scan the QR code at the entrance — nothing changes for you.
Why can’t I screenshot my ticket?
Because the QR code refreshes every 3 seconds, screenshots do not work. Always present the live QR code in the app.
Can I print my ticket?
No. Because the QR code moves, printed tickets are invalid. Please have your digital ticket ready.

Travel & accommodation
How do I get to the venue?
Hemkade 48 in Zaandam is easily accessible by car or train from Amsterdam Central Station. Free shuttle buses run between Zaandam station and the venue on the event day. Details on the website.
Is there parking at the venue?
Yes. There is affordable parking around the venue.
Are there hotel recommendations nearby?
Yes. You’ll find recommended hotels on the website.
Will there be food at the venue?
Yes, a variety of food options will be available throughout the day.
Are there disabled facilities?
Yes. Hemkade 48 is fully accessible for disabled visitors.
Look & Learn questions
Do I need a regular entry ticket in addition to my Look & Learn ticket?
Yes. A regular entry ticket is required in addition to a Look & Learn ticket.
Where do the Look & Learns take place?
In a dedicated seminar space inside Hemkade 48. You can reach it via the outdoor terrace (there is a door near the food truck area).
Barber Battle questions
How do I sign up for the Barber Battle?
Participants can purchase a Battle ticket. After purchase, you will receive a link to the registration form. You may compete in a Single, Double or all three categories.
What are the prizes for the Barber Battle?
Participants competing in all categories qualify for podium prizes (1st, 2nd, 3rd place). Single and Double category winners receive individual category prizes. Prize information will be announced on socials and our website.
Are there rules for the Barber Battle?
Yes. Official competition rules are sent after completing registration. Information is also available on the website.
Young Talent Battle questions
How do I sign up for the Young Talent Battle?
Only Dutch hairdressing/barber schools can register students. Ask your school to email info@barbersocietylive.com.
How old do I need to be?
You must be at least 12 and no older than 25.
What are the prizes?
Prize details will be shared on our socials and website.
Who can participate?
Only students from Dutch hairdressing/barber schools.
Wet Shave Competition questions
How do I sign up?
Participants can buy a Competition ticket. After purchase, a registration link will be provided.
What are the prizes?
· 1st prize: A 3-day all-inclusive course at Scapicchio Accademia in Bovino (Italy), worth €1,500 (hotel, meals and kit included — flight not included), plus an exclusive shaving package from our sponsors.
· Runner-ups: premium shaving packages.
